Deep in Thought: The Road Taken

The Road Taken

My husband and I were hiking around the lake near our home on a cool January evening. We were taking pictures and enjoying the relative quiet, when I captured my husband lost in thought, poised on a rock cliff above the marina.

I love this photo of him. For me, it reveals one of the things that caused me to fall in love with him- his depth of thought and feeling.

We have been married for almost 34 years and still find new things to learn about one another. We have found a deep appreciation for the good qualities we each have, and for the family and relationships we have been blessed with. As for the bad times, the hurtful things, the dark & difficult days, by God’s grace we have learned to let go, forgive and continue to walk forward in love.
