Reflections

Reflecting

This grouping includes photos from my Reflections project. Some of the images have been featured in earlier Weekly photo challenges. The image shown above is of a small pool of water formed after a heavy rain. It looks like a view into the cosmos, but it’s a reflection of the emerging sunshine captured in a shallow limestone depression at the top of a canyon trail.

I have always enjoyed the play of light & water; the shapes & colors seen in puddles during a gentle rain, or the mirror-like images reflected on glass buildings and still water. Looking at photos such as these has a calming effect on my soul. It’s one of the reasons I enjoy photography so much– it gives me the chance to slow down and look around; to focus on what is interesting or beautiful at any given point in time.

I hope you have a similar sense when you view the shots. Blessings ❤
